Changing Settings in the Menu

Navigation in the Menu

Press the button to open the <Settings> menu. The option currently selected will have a bright background.
Press the button at the top or bottom to scroll through a menu.
Press the right or centre of the button to switch to a submenu.
Press the centre of the button :
To confirm a selected menu option (the selected menu option will be highlighted in colour),
To cancel the confirmation (if multiple choices are available, the option highlighted in colour will be removed)
Or to start a process.
Press either the button or the button to return to the next-highest menu.

<Material selection> with the submenus <Wood> and <Construction material>: You can select any number of materials to be applied as favourites in the quick selection options on the standard screen here.

<Self-test>: The measuring tool automatically checks the calibration every time it is switched on. If there are doubts about the measurement accuracy (e.g. when taking measurements in a new material), you can have the functionality and calibration of the measuring tool checked. To do so, start the self-test and follow the instructions on the display.

<Display brightness>: Unlike the other submenus, you can change the screen brightness here by pressing right or left on the button .

<Switch off after…‎‎‎>: You can choose whether and after how long the measuring tool automatically switches off here.

<Language>: You can set the language used in the display when you switch the tool on for the first time or after resetting it to factory settings. In this menu, you can change the selected language.

<Factory reset>: You can reset all of the measuring tool's settings here. After resetting the settings, the start screen will briefly appear and the measuring tool will then switch to the <Select language> menu.

<Tool info>: Here you will find device information (such as the installed software version).
