Working Advice

Cutting Rebar

Select the suitable setting for the cut to be made see Adjusting the Opening Width (see figure D).

Do not touch any rotating parts as this can lead to serious injury.

Do not start cutting immediately after switching on the motor. Bring the saw blade up to full speed before making the cut.

Select a lower speed setting to reduce flying sparks.

Slow down the forwards movement (cutting movement) at the start and end of the cutting process.

Do not cut rebar with a diameter less than 10 mm.

Do not cut rebar less than 20 mm long since the section between the saw blade (14) and the base plate (26) may get stuck and cause damage and/or serious injury.

After switching on the power tool, place the guide (15) firmly on the rebar. Push the power tool forwards slowly to start cutting the rebar.
